800Mbps Unifi Router âš¡âš¡âš¡
We tested these router to reach 800Mbps WiFi speed using a 4×4 WiFi receiver at good signal. However, if you are using a typical receiver like the latest smartphones, your fastest speed possible is around 400-500Mbps.Â
TP-Link most expensive WiFi router in the range with really amazing WiFi coverage. It comes with 8 Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports. and I recommend this router for big homes. RM1499 on Lazada
If you are looking for something similar to the C5400X yet at a cheaper price, the Archer C5400 may worth a look. It only comes with 4 Ethernet ports but still have the amazing WiFi coverage. RM1199 on Lazada
TP-Link Archer C3150 delivers excellent WiFi speed and coverage at a really inexpensive price. We like this model a lot and it is our go to recommendation model. RM799 on Lazada
Archer C4000 is literally the C2300 but with an extra 5G band. It is suitable to be used in shops or homes with more devices connected. The smart connect feature can automatically distribute the users. RM999 on Lazada
The Archer C2300 is a mid range WiFi router from TP-Link but the performance is really good. This is our favorite model from TP-Link due to the inexpensive price and decent performance. RM679 on Lazada
TP-Link Archer A10 is the online exclusive model with AC2600 support. It is a little slower and have smaller coverage over the C2300 but it still manages to reach 800Mbps on WiFi.
500Mbps Unifi Router âš¡âš¡
Archer C9
Archer A9 is an AC1900 wireless router. It features a standing design for better signal reception. RM469 on Lazada
We highly recommend the Archer A9 due to the strong WiFi coverage and fast WiFi speed. Despite looking the same as A7, it is a lot faster and much more powerful than Archer A7.
TP-Link Archer A7/C7 is one of the oldest model in TP-Link line up. They are actually the same hardware but in different names. It is a good budget router with good stability. RM319 on Lazada
500Mbps Mesh System
Deco M9 Plus
TP-Link Deco M5 is our favorite mesh WiFi system. The price is inexpensive and it performs really well. You can have up to 10 units working together to form a mesh system. RM539 on Lazada
The Deco P7 is another interesting concept as it is a powerline wireless hybrid backhaul mesh WiFi system. Sounds confusing? We found that it works really well. RM759 on Lazada
Deco M4 is the best affordable mesh WiFi system in the market right now. Not only it is cheap, it performs decently as well. RM399 on Lazada
300Mbps Unifi Router âš¡
We also really like the Archer A6 model as it is really affordable yet delivers exceptional WiFi speed and coverage. It even comes with Beamforming and MU-MIMO support. RM239 on Lazada
Archer C1200
The Archer C1200 is the default wireless router provided by TM for Unifi. RM279 on Lazada

Hi ! Can a tplink wr1043n do 500mbps over the wire ?
This model is so old that I do not think the CPU can handle this speed.
Hi, I just got turbo (300mbps), but my download only up to 90mbps, upload 50mbps. With 5G connection, if with 2.4G only 35mbps. Any issue for my hardware?
I’m using router TPLINK Archer C60.
If I change router will it helps? Any recommendation?
Yes, changing a router will definitely help. I suggest the Archer C6. It is very affordable and able to perform very well.
Hi
Can you please give a similar reviews for Asus routers, esp now since we got our unifi turbo-ed.
Thank you in advance
Yes, I am working on it. 🙂
I have got my Unifi turbo-ed to 800Mbps, which one should i choose for Asus RT-AC3200 or Tp-Link Archer AC3150?
The Archer C3150 will perform better than the tri-band Asus RT-AC3200.
Hi Blacktubi, my unifi got upgraded to 500 mb and I am using TP Link TL-WR941hp. Does this router support 500 mb?
No, it doesn’t.
which router would you recommend to me?
C6 or C9?
The Archer C9 is a much better router and of course it is more expensive.
I having the similar issue with others. My model is AC1750 C7.
2.4Ghz is performing way slower. <50M compare with 250M for 5Ghz.
Second, AC1750 seem reach up to 250M +- only even with wired connection and gigabit Ethernet.
It seem like we have a lot of bottle neck to enjoy unifi turbo, unless you willing to invest in more high end router or Unifi isn't the one that causing the issue.
Have you tried with another computer? Some Antivirus software may be limiting the speed.
I tried with two different laptop which give me similar result. However, I noticed something different today after turning off the antivirus. My speed can reach up to 500M now especially if testing conducted on TM speed test website. But even I turn on my antivirus, i still get the same speed. In my opinion, the speed upgrade from Unifi is unlikely to be stable. From my speed test result, i still can get from 200, 300 400, and 500M with several attempt. (Mostly I assume I get below 300M only) Furthermore, I also discuss with one of my friend… Read more »
Yes, it order to get the maximum speed it requires a combination of good routers and computers. I personally use TIME 1G and I have no issues getting 900++ most of the time.
Hi Alvyn,
My Unifi is 500Mbps.. Regardless the price, which one is better, Archer C7 or C9 in terms of speed n range?
Thanks
The C9 is definitely better as a higher end device.
Hi Blacktubi,
Need your advise on the router. I am on 800mbps now, which router would you recommend for me to use, TP-Link Archer C3150, Asus RT-AC86U and D-Link DIR-885L AC3150
I would recommend the Archer C3150 as the price is in a sweet spot.
Hi Unifi just turboed me to 500 Mbps. My router is Tplink Archer C1200. I am aware that it can only support 300 MBPS After the turbo, i noticed the following: 2.4 GHz.. download: 30 MBPS (just like before), upload: 28 mbps 5.0 Ghz: download:200 mbps , upload : 73 mbps Lan : 100 MBPS wireless tried on Samsung note 3 Lan line tried on HP notebook 2 questions: a. is it normal for the for the 2.4 Ghz to be so slow? When one say it can support 300 MBPS, does it only apply to 5.0 ghz? b. If… Read more »
Hi there, 2.4Ghz is heavily overcrowded as many other devices is using it causing bad congestion. 5Ghz is the way to go and maybe you can consider a mesh solution from the Deco line-up.
Hi Black tubi, great review and recommendation you have going on here. Keep up the good work! I have a question regarding Tplink N600 that I am currently using.
Do you know if its good for unifi 500mbps? or should i just upgrade to a better router?
Hi there, it cannot support 500Mbps as it is a Wireless N router.
I see. So the Archer C7 is the way to go right?
You are right
hai blacktubi, need to ask you a favour, currently i’m using Dlink 850L(provided by Unifi earlier), i bought the Archer C5400 recently and follow the the setup as quick guide, i noted the Hypptv lagging and the maximum speed usind wired cat 6 cable only up to 6++mbps compare to previous Dlink 850L no lagging and can reach maximum speed of 800mbps. Any adjustment i need to do? Please need your input. Thanks
Try enabling NAT Boost is settings under system parameters.
